Over the years I have had the privilege of interacting with and learning from numerous young people. Here are a few of my favorite educational activities.

Founder along with colleagues Ward Mavura and Alice Muritha of Kenya and Michael Kishimba of Tanzania of the Great Lakes Instrumental Collaboratory (pdf).
Taught a two week class at Kenya Methodist University, Meru, Kenya in Environmental Chemistry with (of course) lead sampling and analysis by Anodic Stripping Voltammetry.
In the 2015-2020 I was engaged with the Poisoned Onion project with the Chicago Public Schools. the project worked with multiple teachers across the city to provide support for heavy metal analysis by high school students.
As you can see part of my career originating from teaching has been centered around lead. It has culminated in a book “Sublime Lead: At the Interface of Art, Science, and Politics”
