Nicholas Patricca got me started on playwriting when I sent him my Fool’s Gold (now Cold Fusion) script on a whim. He arranged for its reading at the Goodman Theater and was (is) a warm and encouraging mentor.

Jenny Magnus has been shepherding the transition of Fool’s Gold to Cold Fusion the Rock Musical in terms of structure and lyrics. She introduced me to Kyra Leigh the composer to the musical. I first met Jenny when taking her class “Make It Sing” with the Chicago Dramatists.

Kyra Leigh is the talented composer who is guiding me through our collaboration on Cold Fusion the Rock Musical with grace and artistry. You can listen to her demo of the song Wizard Most Fanatical here.

The Chicago Dramatists is my theatrical home place. Kyra and I are using the Russ Tutterrow theater for our May 25 2026 7 pm musical reading where we showcase our collaboration in Cold Fusion: the Rock Musical.
